Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an OpenShift Engineer to build, operate, and improve the enterprise OpenShift platform across Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh.

This hands-on role is delivery focused, with on-call duty, and requires strong automation, IaC, and CI/CD discipline to keep services secure, scalable and compliant at scale.

You will collaborate in a hybrid fashion, contribute to platform standards, and guide other engineers while ensuring reliable operations for critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience building, operating, and supporting OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
• Ability to balance resilience, security, operability, performance, and delivery needs.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code tooling to improve repeatability and reduce toil.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, test, and improve OpenShift platform capabilities, automation, and supporting tooling.
• Deliver engineering changes through defined standards and controls with validation and operational readiness.
• Investigate incidents and performance issues using logs and metrics to identify root causes and resolution.
