Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in London is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead the 24/7 engineering team and maintain immediate system availability across shifts. This on-site role requires staying present during outages and directing maintenance tasks to prevent disruption.

You will monitor live BMS, coordinate rapid responses to alarms, supervise shift engineers, and ensure safety and documentation standards are upheld while coordinating with security and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in shift operations or supervisory roles within facilities management.
• Hands-on technical competence across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and critical life-safety systems.
• Strong risk assessment and incident response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-shift engineering teams and coordinate real-time responses to alarms.
• Monitor BMS and critical system dashboards to ensure continuous availability.
• Oversee shift handovers and maintain accurate shift logs and records.
• Enforce safe working practices and RAMS compliance during all tasks.
• Coordinate with security, clients, and on-call staff during incidents.
