Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Service Support Desk Operator and Receptionist at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) in Chatham, Kent. You will act as the first point of contact, delivering high-quality customer service and front-of-house support to staff, visitors and stakeholders in a busy defence training environment.

You will manage service requests, bookings and enquiries, handle security procedures, and collaborate with site hosts to ensure smooth access.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics
• Additional customer service, administration or business support qualifications would be advantageous - Desirable

Responsibilities

• Managing service requests, bookings, enquiries, complaints and fault reports through the Service Support Desk
• Responding to telephone, email and walk-in customer enquiries and accurately raising and updating cases
• Recording asset availability and maintaining service information in line with contractual requirements
• Welcoming visitors, completing security and access procedures, and issuing visitor and vehicle passes
• Coordinating with site hosts and stakeholders to ensure visitors are appropriately directed or escorted
