Job summary

Colossus Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Second Line Desktop Support professional for an onsite role within commuting distance of Woking. You will travel daily to customer sites, providing hands-on IT support for hardware, software, and networking issues, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

The role requires a Level 4 IT qualification, experience with Microsoft Intune, and a valid UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business travel.

Qualifications

• Level 4 IT qualification (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Intune.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a Second Line IT support or field-based role.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows OS, Android and iOS devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence with minimal points and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite Second Line IT support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, systems and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Support and monitor network infrastructure including VPNs, LANs, DNS and firewalls.
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Intune and cloud-based technologies.
• Record, manage and resolve incidents through the service desk system.
• Carry out software deployments, upgrades and system updates.
• Perform routine maintenance, backups and housekeeping.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver technical projects and service improvements.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain relationships with staff.
