Job summary

TMRG is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to generate and process purchase orders based on production forecasts, monitor inventories and reorder points, and help manage stock levels onsite in Aston.

You will negotiate pricing and lead times, track OTIF performance, and produce weekly stock reports for the management team. Manufacturing or engineering exposure and experience with MRP/ERP systems are advantages.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or engineering background would be an advantage.
• Happy to be based onsite.
• Purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of using MRP and ERP systems.
• Experience negotiating prices and terms.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Generate, process POs based on production forecast
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points
• Oversee stockouts and overstocks
• Request PODs, resolve discrepancies, and handle damages
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and lead times
• Monitor OTIF performance
• Run weekly stock and progress reports for management team
