Job summary

TMR Group Ltd in Aston ( onsite ) is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement activities for manufacturing operations. The role focuses on generating POs from forecast, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

The ideal candidate will have purchasing or supply chain experience, familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, and strong negotiation and communication skills. Onsite work with parking and a 25-day holiday entitlement is provided.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or engineering background would be an advantage.
• Happy to be based onsite.
• Purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of using MRP and ERP systems.
• Experience negotiating prices and terms.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Generate, process POs based on production forecast.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
• Oversee stockouts and overstocks.
• Request PODs, resolve discrepancies, and handle damages.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and lead times.
• Monitor OTIF performance.
• Run weekly stock and progress reports for management team.
