Job summary

Blue Cross Burford rehoming centre is seeking an Assistant Manager - Onsite Services to lead a team, oversee the refill and adoption stages, and ensure high standards of pet welfare and client care.

You will collaborate with operations staff to maintain a steady pipeline of pets and adopters, optimise efficiency, and ensure the admissions and adoptions process complies with GDPR and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a rescue welfare environment.
• Significant experience of managing a team.
• Significant experience in delivering high level client service in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of developing, mentoring, and coaching operational teams.
• High standard of verbal and written communication.
• Proven decision-making ability.
• Understanding of and hands-on experience of pet care.
• Current full driving licence.
• Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply Blue Cross Values.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to ensure smooth running of refill and adoption stages.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues to maintain a pipeline of pets and adopters.
• Monitor and improve client journey and service quality.
• Ensure public areas are welcoming and that admissions and adoptions comply with GDPR and internal policies.
• Work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays; on-site accommodation provided.
• Oversee onsite facilities and services for continuous improvement.
