Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking an IT Technician to join our onsite support team at a customer site in Redditch, delivering face-to-face technical assistance in a busy TechBar environment.

As the first point of contact, you will troubleshoot desktop, OS and application incidents, install software, deploy standard builds, and provide user guidance to keep colleagues productive while delivering a professional, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT support or service desk.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows OS and end-user devices.
• Experience with software installations and device deployments.
• Excellent customer service and ability to explain tech to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide walk-up support to end users through the onsite TechBar service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, operating system and application-related incidents.
• Provide IT guidance, advice and how-to support to users.
• Install, configure and re-install software and applications to resolve incidents and requests.
• Deploy and configure standard desktop and laptop builds.
• Resolve issues that require hands-on intervention and cannot be addressed remotely.
• Support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including joiners and leavers processes.
