Job summary

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an IT Support Engineer to manage day-to-day operations of the Gladiator core systems at an onsite Waddington location. The role emphasizes fault diagnosis, configuration, and seamless operation of COTS and tailored applications within secure networks.

You will work with a range of technologies including RedHat Linux, Docker, and cross-domain security tools, collaborating closely with Boeing and MoD staff to ensure high system uptime and effective training support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of RedHat Linux, Docker, Remote Desktop and Networking is desirable.
• Familiarity with HLA/DIS and distributed simulation is a plus.
• Experience with both COTS and In-House applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initialise and configure systems, monitor operations, and diagnose faults to meet SLAs.
• Perform post-operation tasks and system shutdowns.
• Restore environments to predefined configurations for subsequent operations.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
• Analyze logs and diagnostics to identify bugs or faults.
• Deploy configurations and software using various deployment tools.
