Job summary

Thales Group is seeking an engineer to maintain and refresh training simulators (STE) and classroom equipment in the UK. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, update software/hardware, and ensure 100% readiness for annual validation checks.

A UK National with SC clearance is preferred; training is provided for simulator engineering if needed. You'll work on-site with strong IT networking, fault-finding, and electro-mechanical system skills, ensuring safe, reliable operation

Qualifications

Engineering mindset and aptitude for problem-solving.
Training provided for simulator engineering experience.
Ability to read and interpret system drawings and schematics.
Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and refresh maintenance programmes for STE and classroom equipment.
Follow procedures to carry out preventative maintenance and fault rectifications.
Record all maintenance activities and corrective actions.
Audit tools, parts, and consumables and track through inventory software.
Perform hardware/software updates and weekly housekeeping for optimal performance.
Keep equipment clean, presentable, and ready for use.
Support RAF in annual validation checks and run 100% of the Qualification Test Guide.
Update instructor operating station and ownership databases as required.
