Job summary

CDW seeks an IT Support Technician / Onsite Engineer to provide on-site IT support across police and secure sites, primarily in Worcester with travel to Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and Bristol. You’ll handle desktop support, hardware maintenance, and project assistance while developing in a secure, technology-diverse environment.

Applicants should have IT support or field engineering experience, strong Windows 10/11 and server skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT Support, Service Desk, Field Engineering or Desktop Support.
• Good understanding of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Networking fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel between customer sites.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC/NPPV).
• Located within reasonable commute of Worcester.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support across police and secure customer locations.
• Support Windows 10/11 environments and Windows Server administration.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and perform break/fix maintenance.
• Assist with office moves, equipment installations and workstation deployments.
• Conduct system monitoring, antivirus checks and storage management tasks.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and documentation.
• Support project work and provide cover at customer sites regionally.
