Job summary

Medivet Group is seeking an experienced IT Field Service Engineer for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves frequent travel across the South East and Greater London regions, with occasional out-of-hours work to support critical activity.

You'll deliver advanced onsite hardware and software support, act as an escalation point for complex issues, and work with Service Desk colleagues to ensure reliable technology that supports exceptional veterinary care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows 11 environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware (Dell/HP/Lenovo).
• Knowledge of managed print solutions.
• Strong networking and cabling experience (Cat5/6/6a).
• Experience diagnosing network connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work remotely, independently, and manage priorities.
• Proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced onsite IT support for colleagues across our practice network and support functions.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues raised through the IT Service Desk.
• Manage incidents through to resolution, including liaising with third-party suppliers and support partners.
• Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken within our Freshworks service management platform.
• Deliver IT support in line with business requirements and operational trading hours.
• Support multiple IT projects simultaneously, taking the lead on smaller projects where required.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure services are delivered to a high standard.
• Identify opportunities to improve colleague experience, operational efficiency, and IT service delivery.
• Provide proactive maintenance and support across a large and diverse IT estate.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding incidents, service improvements, project updates, and system changes.
• Support equipment installations, relocations, decommissions, and practice technology deployments.
