Job summary

EDF is recruiting an experienced HSE Advisor to join the on-site team at Hinkley Point C. You will work with management, supervisors and the workforce to provide competent EHS guidance, coaching, and assurance on risk controls and safe working practices.

The role emphasizes identifying risks early, verifying controls are in place, and escalating issues to maintain zero incidents across the project’s lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a HSE advisor.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent recognised EHS qualification.
• Good knowledge and understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental requirements.
• Practical EHS experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing or high-risk environments.
• Experience undertaking workplace inspections and audits.
• Experience supporting RAMS and risk assessments.
• Experience investigating incidents and near-misses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competence in standard IT systems for reporting and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent EHS advice at the point of work and engage with project teams.
• Identify risks early and verify controls are implemented.
• Escalate issues where standards are not met and drive improvements.
• Support the project EHS team to achieve zero incidents and continual performance gains.
