Job summary

EDF is seeking a Fire Safety Advisor to join the Hinkley Point C project, Bridgwater. You will develop and maintain site fire safety processes, ensuring MEHA operations stay compliant with NN B requirements and fire safety standards.

You will audit, assess risks, and provide expert guidance to contractors and teams. You will promote a proactive fire safety culture and support emergency preparedness across the project.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent required.
• Fire risk assessment qualifications and auditing experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and construction environments.
• Proven ability to advise and guide operational teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of site fire safety processes and MEHA requirements.
• Provide expert fire safety advice to MEHA teams and contractors.
• Conduct regular fire safety audits and inspections for compliance.
• Support fire risk assessments and ensure actions are closed out.
• Maintain fire safety records and provide data for decision making.
