Job summary

EDF is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the Hinkley Point C project and promote a positive HSE culture. You will provide professional guidance, perform site inspections, RAMS reviews and work with contractors and internal teams to keep operations compliant and safe.

Key requirements include NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate, CSCS Professional Card (White), strong communication skills, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety on construction projects.
• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate.
• CSCS Professional Card (White).
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across teams and levels.
• IOSH membership, preferably TechIOSH.
• Right to work in the UK and HPC pass.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and professional Health & Safety advice across the project
• Carry out Health & Safety inspections and site audits
• Monitor employee and contractor working practices to ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
• Support accident, incident and near-miss reporting
• Review RAMS and Health & Safety processes
• Work collaboratively with operational teams, contractors and other Health & Safety departments
• Identify unsafe practices and provide practical solutions
• Share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement
