Job summary

Cubed Talent is recruiting for a site-based role across two West Yorkshire facilities, with occasional visits to HQ in Saltaire. The role offers up to £15.50 per hour (£32,240 annualised) plus team performance-related pay.

The fixed-term contract is up to 12 months with strong potential to become permanent, reflecting high demand across both sites. Ideal candidates have hands-on manufacturing experience and are comfortable multi-site working.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in mechanical or assembly-based manufacturing operations.
• Engineering/ME background advantageous but not essential.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is a bonus.
• Strong communication, organisational and cross-site coordination skills.
• Own car and a clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Supplying colleagues to both manufacturing facilities in line with vacancy demand.
• Organising and running factory tours for applicants and candidates (full checklist and guidance provided).
• Supporting assessment and selection, including practical tasks and competency questions.
• Welcoming new starters on their first day.
• Delivering the Cubed candidate storyboard to prospective candidates.
• Updating and maintaining management information for client and Cubed.
• Carrying out Level 1 return-to-work and performance-improvement processes with escalation to Cubed management.
• Maintaining a visible on-site presence to keep service and engagement high.

About the opportunity

Cubed Talent is the principal recruitment partner to one of the UK’s largest, best-known and most successful multi-disciplinary engineering, M&E and technical services businesses. Following growth in core demand and the award of a major new contract, our client needs high volumes of skilled people across two manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire, and we’re creating a brand-new role to make it happen.

What you’ll be doing

• Supplying colleagues to both manufacturing facilities in line with vacancy demand
• Organising and running factory tours for applicants and potential candidates (full checklist and guidance provided)
• Supporting the assessment and selection process, including practical hands-on tasks, scenario and competency-based questions, and culture fit
• Welcoming every new starter on their first day
• Delivering the Cubed candidate storyboard to prospective candidates
• Updating and maintaining management information for both the client and Cubed
• Carrying out Level 1 return-to-work and performance improvement processes, with escalation routes to Cubed management
• Being a visible, in-person presence on site for colleagues and client contacts alike, keeping service and engagement levels high

What we’re looking for

• Significant hands-on experience in mechanical or assembly-based manufacturing operations
• M&E or engineering background would be advantageous, but isn’t essential
• Supervisory or team leader experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential
• Naturally organised, an effective communicator, calm and diplomatic
• A professional image and demeanour
• Confident with technology and keen to learn remote and multi-site working tools such as online meetings, content sharing and document management
• Own car and a clean driving licence
