Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead planning, design and delivery of facilities supporting fusion energy projects. You will manage projects end-to-end, ensuring safety, time, cost and quality targets are met while coordinating estates teams and external partners.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification, BIM Level 2 knowledge, and experience delivering construction projects in publicly funded environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or construction discipline.
• Membership of a professional body (e.g., CIOB or APM).
• Proven experience managing design and delivery of construction projects.
• Experience delivering projects in publicly funded environments with regulatory procedures.
• Knowledge of BIM Level 2 and CDM Regulations.
• Strong stakeholder, budget, programme and risk-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development and delivery of construction projects.
• Provide input into civil, mechanical and electrical designs.
• Coordinate internal and external design/delivery teams.
• Manage stakeholder requirements and ensure design standards are met.
• Develop building specs for multipurpose facilities including offices, labs and workshops.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, contracts and reporting.
• Identify and report project and organisational risks.
• Apply BIM Level 2 requirements to new-build projects.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and UKAEA procedures.
• Use ASITE and other systems to support delivery.
