Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager with FMC/construction expertise to support delivery of complex, highly regulated projects at Aldermaston. The role requires delivering to time, cost, quality and governance targets with 100% onsite work five days a week.

Candidates should have strong governance, planning, cost, risk and change management experience and be adept at leading multidisciplinary teams while ensuring safety and compliance across environmental requirements.

Project Manager – FMC / Construction

Location: Aldermaston – 100% onsite
Contract: 18 months
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
Rate: £31.79 per hour (Umbrella)
Security Clearance: DV

Our client, a major organisation operating within the UK defence and nuclear sector, is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a construction/FMC background to support the delivery of complex, highly regulated projects at its Aldermaston site.

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering assigned projects to agreed time, cost, quality and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects against agreed scope, programme, cost and quality requirements.
• Lead project planning, governance, compliance and reporting.
• Manage project resources, including people and budgets.
• Manage work in accordance with Work Authorisation Documents (WAD).
• Manage and initiate change against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
• Lead risk and opportunity identification, mitigation and subsequent actions.
• Lead and develop project teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Maintain high standards across safety, security, quality and environmental requirements.

Experience Required:

• Strong Project Management experience within construction, FMC or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering complex projects within a highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of project governance, planning, cost, risk and change management.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and resources.
• Nuclear, defence or other security-critical project experience would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of the programme, candidates must be able to meet UK DV security clearance requirements.

This role is 100% onsite in Aldermaston, five days per week.
