Job summary

Polaris Education - Selwyn Hall School in Foxton, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a dedicated One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a pupil or small group within an SEN setting. The role is fixed term for one year, full-time, term-time only, with a salary in the range 21,257.48 to 23,232.69 pounds per year.

You will work alongside the classroom teacher, monitor progress, assist with planning and classroom activities, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and ability to support SEMH pupils.
• Willingness to develop professionally and take on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support one-to-one or small group of pupils during lessons.
• Assist classroom teachers and prepare/mark work as needed.
• Report on pupil progress and coordinate with staff to meet pupil needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and during extra-curricular activities.
• Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
