Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a nurturing school in Abergavenny seeking a dedicated One to One Teaching Assistant to join on a full-time, long-term basis. You will provide specialist one-to-one support for a pupil with Down syndrome and also assist with general TA duties across the school.

The role requires prior experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis, ALN experience, a nurturing and patient approach, strong communication and teamwork, and the flexibility to work across different

Salary: £85.50 - £92.63 per day

The school is looking to take on a full-time One to One Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, primarily working with a child with Down syndrome. The successful One to One Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated one-to-one support while also carrying out general Teaching Assistant duties throughout the school.

The successful One to One Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children on a one-to-one basis
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience supporting a child with Down syndrome is desirable but not essential
• A nurturing and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The flexibility to support pupils throughout the school
