Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated One to One Teaching Assistant in Abergavenny for a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP. You will support a pupil on a one-to-one basis while performing standard TA duties across the school.

The role focuses on supporting a child with Down syndrome, requiring nurturing, patient interaction and strong teamwork with staff. Competitive daily rates apply, with ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children on a one-to-one basis.
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN.
• Experience supporting a child with Down syndrome is desirable but not essential.
• A nurturing and patient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The flexibility to support pupils throughout the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupil throughout the school.
• Carry out general Teaching Assistant duties as required.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and follow safeguarding policies.

Salary: £85.50 - £92.63 per day

The school is looking to take on a full-time One to One Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, primarily working with a child with Down syndrome. The successful One to One Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated one-to-one support while also carrying out general Teaching Assistant duties throughout the school.

The successful One to One Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children on a one-to-one basis


• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN


• Experience supporting a child with Down syndrome is desirable but not essential


• A nurturing and patient approach

• The flexibility to support pupils throughout the school
