Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a nurturing school in Abergavenny seeking a dedicated One to One Teaching Assistant to join on a full-time, long-term basis. You will provide specialist one-to-one support for a pupil with Down syndrome and also assist with general TA duties across the school.

The role requires prior experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis, ALN experience, a nurturing and patient approach, strong communication and teamwork, and the flexibility to work across different

Qualifications

• Experience working with children on a one-to-one basis.
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN).
• Down syndrome experience is desirable but not essential.
• Nurturing and patient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to support pupils throughout the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with Down syndrome.
• Carry out general Teaching Assistant duties across the school.
