Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.

You will be Responsible For
  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, excellent service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
  • Practicing safety in all tasks through proper training.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct pay.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
  • Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts, explaining actions clearly to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
  • Potentially managing shifts in the absence of leadership.
  • Following all training for safety and legal compliance.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include daily operations of the post office, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
