Job Description:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the store's daily operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.

You will be Responsible For:

• Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, great service.
• Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Working across store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
• Following all safety training and procedures.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
• Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
• Clocking in and out accurately for proper payment.
• Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
• Following the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
• Adhering to all training to ensure safety, legality, and store standards.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing Post Office operations, which requires passing a financial and criminal background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
