Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an admin professional to manage accurate booking of radiotherapy-related appointments. You will use MOSAIQ and Harris Flex, ensure efficient use of slots, and communicate with patients and staff across the Trust to maintain high treatment timeliness.

You will provide advice to patients on preparation for examinations, maintain confidentiality, and participate in staff development and departmental training.

Qualifications

• Accurate booking of patient appointments using established booking protocols.
• Specialised knowledge of cancer waits and how they affect booking.
• Communicate changes to staff and coordinate with external bodies as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with Trust policies.
• Provide clear information and reassurance to patients undergoing preparation for examinations.

Responsibilities

• Book patient planning scans and treatments and send detailed appointment letters.
• Be primary contact for cancer teams and ensure waiting times align with targets.
• Liaise with other hospitals, dental surgeries and care homes for information as required.
• Escalate major issues to supervisors or clinicians and ensure quick resolution.
