JOB MISSION
As the On-Trade Sales Director, you will be at the forefront of driving exceptional growth and market share within our luxury wines & spirits portfolio in the UK on-trade. Your mission is to cultivate strong, strategic partnerships with key accounts, craft and execute innovative sales strategies, and deliver unparalleled brand experiences that exceed sales targets and establish our brands as market leaders. Ultimately, you will create lasting value for our company and trade partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive qualitative & quantitative objectives of the on-trade
- Craft winning account strategies: Design and execute compelling business plans for designated accounts, surpassing channel targets.
- Drive profitable growth & brand eminence: Maximize profitability, visibility, and brand building to position our brands as category leaders.
- Optimize pricing for premium value: Implement a dynamic pricing strategy that reflects brand prestige and maximizes revenue.
- Cultivate strategic customer partnerships: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to unlock brand opportunities.
- Co-create customer-centric business plans: Develop innovative, mutually beneficial business plans.
- Strategic investment & performance optimization: Allocate and evaluate trade investments to ensure maximum ROI.
- Dominate value share with iconic brands: Grow the value share of our brands, elevating icon brands to market leadership.
- Identify & champion new growth avenues: Seek out new business and brand development opportunities.
- Leverage market intelligence: Use competitor insights to neutralize threats and increase market share.
Maximize efficiency through internal resources
- Champion technology-driven growth: Utilize sales tools like Aspire and PowerBI to unlock portfolio potential, leading the Commercial Development Manager role.
- Elevate FTT management: Transform FTT processes into strategic tools for maximizing ROI and driving ROS.
- Lead with integrity and operational excellence: Ensure adherence to internal controls and operational standards.
- Collaborate with marketing: Work with marketing teams to align growth strategies.
Leadership & Team Management
- Inspire & motivate: Foster a culture of inclusion, motivation, and high performance.
- Foster collaboration: Encourage teamwork across departments.
- Drive innovation & creativity: Promote experimentation for groundbreaking experiences.
- Navigate ambiguity: Manage complexity and make informed decisions.
Profile
- Languages: English required; additional language (French, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.
- Experience: 10-15 years in luxury, wines, and spirits; strong UK sector knowledge; sales management experience; negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; extensive network and understanding of luxury branding.
