Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Test Technician in Welwyn Garden City to join a growing engineering team working on load testing and monitoring projects across the UK. The role is on-site with occasional travel and no direct load testing experience is required but a practical, hands-on approach is essential and full training is provided.

You will set up tests, record findings, install monitoring systems and liaise with clients.

Qualifications

• Good GCSEs with Maths/Physics or an engineering qualification.
• Practical, hands-on ability with hand tools or equipment.
• Reliable, detail-focused and able to work independently.
• Full manual driving licence is required.
• Welding or soldering/STEM degree is beneficial but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Set up and carry out load tests on structures and components at client sites.
• Record findings and complete results sheets and basic reports.
• Install monitoring systems for varied projects.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email to discuss requirements.
• Work on diverse structures and help maintain testing equipment.
• Travel to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
