Job summary

The Erith Group seeks a Site Technician to join the Swantest division in London, carrying out structural testing and site investigations across London and the Home Counties. You will work as part of a multi-disciplined team delivering testing, data recording, and reporting for high-profile projects.

You will receive ongoing training, gain exposure to load tests, barrier testing, and other specialist assessments, and have opportunities for professional development within an established group.

Qualifications

• On-site experience as a site technician or material testing (minimum 1 year).
• Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level C or equivalent.
• Valid UK manual driving licence; company van provided.
• Proficient in MS Excel and recording data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Drive between sites to perform tests and record results for client reports.
• Operate specialist testing equipment and conduct in-situ tests.
• Assist engineers and contribute to report preparation.

About the role

You will become an integral part of a collaborative, multi-disciplined team of engineers providing specialist site services to the wider construction, demolition, and civil engineering sectors.

In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will carry out a diverse range of site investigation and structural testing projects. Alongside applying your existing site experience, you will receive ongoing training to expand your technical expertise across our full testing suite, including load capacity tests, pull-out tests, barrier testing, and specialist structural assessments.

At least 1 year on site experience as a site technician or material testing

Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level C or equivalent

Capable of impartially recording data and keeping site records

Clear communicator, both written and spoken English

Clean UK manual driving licence – company van will be provided
