Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Power Transmission & Distribution team for London Power Tunnels Decommissioning. This role is field-based, with substantial on-site time, coordinating HV cable repair and decommissioning activities while collaborating with site teams, customers and stakeholders across London.

You’ll gain exposure to HV project delivery and develop leadership, technical and operational skills, with a clear path towards project management and senior

Qualifications

Engineering qualification or relevant engineering background.
Experience in engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure or similar operational environment.
Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support HV cable repair and decommissioning activities across London.
Provide day-to-day leadership to operational teams on site.
Work with the Project Manager and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
Respond to emergencies and support out-of-hours works as required.
Maintain project documentation and reporting requirements.
