Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is delivering the HS2 programme at Old Oak Common in London, seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the temporary site services and electrical infrastructure for this flagship project.

You will coordinate electrical installations, manage subcontractors and ensure safe, efficient delivery. The role involves reporting, scheduling, and collaboration with design and commercial teams on a major infrastructure site.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Project Engineer or Site Engineer roles on major projects.
• Experience delivering electrical works in infrastructure, utilities, rail or major projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems installation and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical installations, maintenance and testing on site.
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant and materials to support delivery.
• Oversee temporary electrical infrastructure, power distribution, site lighting and generators.
• Review drawings, specifications and installation methodologies.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and update project records.
• Develop and review short-term programmes and work schedules.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
