Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in the UK is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination and delivery of cabling and power infrastructure works from pre-construction through commissioning.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and site teams, manage subcontractors, maintain records, promote Zero Harm, and travel across the UK with initial focus on Lincolnshire and Peterborough region.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering infrastructure, utility or power projects.
• Exposure to cable installation, underground cabling or major power transmission works.
• Experience coordinating construction activities and site teams.
• Knowledge of RAMS, permits and site documents.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements in construction.
• Flexibility to travel across the UK and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and construction activities across major cabling projects.
• Review and implement technical drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Support safe delivery via RAMS, permits and site paperwork.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure work aligns with programme and quality.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and propose solutions.
• Plan labour, plant, materials and resources to hit milestones.
• Support project planning activities and progress reporting.
• Maintain accurate project records and site documentation.
