Job summary

Places for People is recruiting a part-time Porter to work on-site, primarily mornings, helping keep the development safe, presentable and welcoming for residents and visitors. You will support day-to-day security, health and safety checks and assist residents as needed in a visible, service-led role.

You will work with the House Manager and wider team to ensure smooth daily operations, with a strong emphasis on delivering excellent customer experience and safeguarding residents at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking (essential).
• Emergency First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain (essential).
• Customer-facing, on-site experience (desirable).
• Clear and confident communication skills (desirable).
• Basic working knowledge of IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access.
• Assist with health and safety checks across the development.
• Be a visible presence on site and help residents and visitors.
• Assist on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work with operations to ensure accurate information sharing.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies per procedures.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience across the development.
• Provide daily information to the Property Manager.
