Job summary

Places for People is recruiting a part-time Porter to join the on-site team in London. You’ll help keep the development safe, well-presented and welcoming for residents and visitors, with a strong focus on service.

Your duties include supporting day-to-day site security, health and safety checks, assisting residents and visitors, and working with the House Manager and cleaning teams to ensure smooth operations. We offer flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience working in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in customer-facing, on-site roles.
• Clear and confident communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks.
• Be a visible presence on site and assist residents and visitors.
• Support the on-site cleaning team with additional tasks.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure accurate information sharing.
• Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies in line with procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience across the development.
• Provide information to the Property Manager on a daily basis.
