Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Burton upon Trent site. You will maintain and improve critical building systems, performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Role involves fault finding on mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and water systems, supporting upgrades, and maintaining records via CAFM systems.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Maintenance.
• Experience maintaining pumps, motors, valves and water systems.
• Knowledge of L8 water hygiene requirements.
• Experience within facilities management, planned maintenance and reactive environments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and inspections on mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and water systems.
• Maintain domestic and chlorinated water systems in line with L8 compliance standards.
• Support installation and upgrade projects across site.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed service levels.
• Complete maintenance records and reporting through CAFM systems.
• Work closely with colleagues, contractors and client stakeholders to deliver a high standard of service.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs when required.
