Job summary

Global Recruitment Services Ltd are currently seeking experienced Service Technician/Site Services Engineers to join one of our clients based in Burton on Trent on a permanent basis. The role involves fault finding, electrical and mechanical repairs, and maintenance.

Candidates should be apprentice trained to Level 3 in mechanical or electro/mechanical disciplines, with experience in maintenance or service.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained to Level 3 in mechanical or electro/mechanical discipline.
• Experience in maintenance/service roles preferred.
• Heavy engineering site experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance of automated processing plant.
• Refurbishment and upgrade of machinery in a workshop environment.
• Work at customer sites or in workshops as part of an experienced team.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Service Technician/Site Services Engineers to join one of our clients based in Burton on Trent on a permanent basis.

The client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and aerospace.

Due to the specialist nature of the products the work is both interesting and varied and will involve fault finding/fault rectification, carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs, machine maintenance, breakdowns and planned maintenance visits.

The role will involve working both in the workshop and on site and will involve the following:

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance of automated processing plant.
• Refurbishment and upgrade of machinery within a fully equipped workshop environment.
• Working at customer sites or in the workshops as part of an experienced team.

The successful candidates will be apprentice trained and qualified in a mechanical or electro/mechanical discipline to minimum of Level 3. They will ideally have experience of working in a maintenance/service role. Previous experience of working on heavy engineering sites and equipment would be useful but not essential.
