Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a site-based engineer to provide on-site field support at Warton, with potential coverage at Samlesbury and Preston. The role requires UK residency and SC security clearance, with a full-time 37.5-hour week, Monday–Friday. Training, benefits including pension, private medical and life insurance are available.

National security considerations apply. Responsibilities include installation, servicing, repairs, and customer liaison for project-specific systems.

Qualifications

• SC Security Clearance required.
• Experience with the company's hardware, software and equipment products.
• Experience with customer technology and support requirements.
• Experience with process and/or system design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site field support to customers including installation, servicing and repairing of systems and equipment.
• Answers customer questions and resolves issues.
• Refer other issues/questions to appropriate personnel/service area/manager for follow up, testing and troubleshooting.
• Acts as a liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Performs analyses and prepares reports on system problem trends and issues.
• Assists in applying engineering principles and practices as they relate to system design, process flow and/or discrete modelling.
• Interacts with the client's engineers to gather information, design changes, requirements, etc.
