Job summary

Morgan Law Partners Llp is recruiting an experienced HR Adviser for a well-established public sector organisation in Berkshire. The role focuses on delivering professional HR guidance across the employee lifecycle and supporting managers and staff.

The role requires a strong in-person presence on-site for most hours. It is a full-time position (0.8 FTE considered) on an 18-month contract, offering the chance to influence employment relations and organisational capability.

Qualifications

• Strong employee relations case management experience across formal and informal processes.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused advice to managers and employees.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management.
• Ability to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with competing priorities and deadlines.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards).
• Experience in a large, unionised, public sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice on a wide range of people matters to managers.
• Manage employee relations casework: disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and restructuring.
• Advise on policy and procedures and promote best practice.
• Support recruitment and selection activities.
• Contribute to organisational projects and develop people management capability.
