Job summary

SNG (Sovereign Network Group) seeks a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our Shaftesbury team and manage residents in our 6-bedroom temporary housing project. The role is full-time and on-site, with responsibilities including tenancy support and scheme checks.

You will work to help residents overcome barriers to secure accommodation, assisting with benefits, housing plans, rent accounts and health and safety compliance. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within housing, homelessness services, social housing, or care setting.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service with ability to build trust.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support residents in temporary homeless accommodation.
• Assist with income, benefits, personal housing plans and tenancy issues.
• Carry out regular scheme inspections and health and safety tests.
• Collaborate with partner organisations and external agencies.
