Job summary

Morson Edge in Bristol is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day facilities operations on a predominantly on-site basis, with ad-hoc travel to Cardiff. The role requires SC level security clearance and British national status to obtain clearance quickly.

You will own delivery of facilities management services, ensure safety and compliance, coordinate contractors, and lead Bristol and Cardiff facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in facilities management or similar site-based role.
• Proven ability to operate independently with site-level responsibilities.
• Experience in corporate or multi-service workplaces preferred.
• Evidence of ownership of day-to-day service delivery.
• Strong organisational skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Proactive hands-on approach to anticipate and resolve issues.
• Focus on service delivery, standards, and user experience.
• Sound judgement with practical problem-solving.
• Experience managing suppliers/contractors and performance.
• Proficiency in MS Office and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for building management, contractors and service providers.
• Coordinate workplace services: cleaning, reception, mail, meeting rooms.
• Maintain high standard of workplace presentation and environment.
• Be visible on site and build strong relationships with employees.
• Partner with local office leadership on issues and attend meetings.
• Identify and resolve workplace issues before they impact users.
• Support health, safety, environmental and security requirements.
• Process facilities invoices and purchase requests; support budget control.
• Maintain site data and reporting, including utilisation and records.
• Manage Bristol and Cardiff Facilities Support staff.
• Communicate facility-related information in line with guidelines.
• Manage supplier performance and address issues promptly.
• Support workplace changes, moves, and small projects on site.
• Provide general facilities support to wider business.
