Job summary

DXC Technology in Edinburgh seeks a hands-on Desktop & Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide day-to-day desktop support and contribute to wider infrastructure projects within a secure client environment.

You'll work with laptops, desktops, VDI and server environments, troubleshooting issues, deploying MS technologies (SCCM, Entra, Azure, Intune) and maintaining documentation. Security clearance eligibility is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background with hands-on desktop and infrastructure support.
• Experience with laptops, desktops, VDI and servers.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and own problems through resolution.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft technologies in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across desktop and infrastructure services.
• Handle calls and incidents across laptops, desktops, VDI and servers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and infrastructure issues and escalate where needed.
• Support installation, configuration, maintenance and deployment of desktop/infrastructure technologies.
• Maintain and document technical details and incident records.
