Job summary

Lanes Group is a leading nationwide utility services provider with c.5000 employees and turnover over £700 million. Sapphire Utility Solutions supports United Utilities projects in the North West, focusing on CCTV, jetting and civils across UU contracts.

This on-call role requires a HGV Class 2, experience in jetting, and will involve reactive works with an on-call shift from 16:00 to 02:00, six days a week, with one paid rest day.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (C) required.
• Desirable: NRSWA, high pressure jetting, confined spaces, emergency first aid, CPC.

Responsibilities

• Investigating any works that need to be conducted.
• Assess any issues and put a resolution in place.
• Use of Jetting machinery to conduct works to ensure safety of public.
• Covering works across the United Utilities network across the North West.
• Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales.
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
• Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
