Lanes Group is seeking a site-based operative at Samlesbury to support United Utilities across reactive contracts. The role involves sewer investigations, jetting, CCTV inspections, and customer liaison on a 42.5-hour week with day and back-shift patterns.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (C) required.
• NRSWA - Sign, Lighting, Guarding knowledge/recognition.
• High pressure water jetting experience.
• Medium Risk Confined Spaces training/awareness.
• Emergency First Aid at work qualification.
• Manual Handling competency.
• EUSR National Water Hygiene qualification.
• CPC certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
• Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales.
• Inspect and investigate drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could impact customers and the network.
• Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop/tablet for data entry purposes.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
