Job summary

Lanes Group is recruiting for a role based at Samlesbury to support United Utilities on sewer network projects. You will collaborate with a UU Operative to perform CCTV inspections, jetting, and investigations, ensuring timely communication with customers about works and timescales.

The position follows a shift pattern with 8am–6pm front shift and 12pm–10pm back shift, including weekends and bank holidays. HGV class 2 is desirable but training can be provided.

• EUSR National Water Hygiene

Responsibilities

• You will be working closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
• Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales
• Inspect and investigate drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could cause impact to customers and network.
• Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
