Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service in Sandown is recruiting an on-call firefighter to respond to emergencies, assist the community and support frontline crews. The role is part-time in practice, with real paid duties and a thorough training programme.

You must live or work within 5 minutes of Sandown Fire Station, be physically fit, and be enthusiastic. Previous experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to meet demanding duties.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to serving the community.
• Ability to reach the fire station quickly after being alerted to an incident.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a range of emergencies as an on-call firefighter.
