Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is seeking on-call firefighters to respond to a range of emergencies and to engage with the community. The role is paid and part-time in practice, with a requirement to reach the station quickly when alerted.

Qualifications

• You don’t need previous experience; a comprehensive training programme is provided.
• You must be enthusiastic and physically fit to reach the fire station quickly after alert.
• Eligibility requires living/working within 4 minutes of the Fire Station.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as a paid on-call firefighter and engage with the community.
• Attend incidents ranging from fires to vehicle accidents and other emergencies.
• Participate in community events and essential fire safety activities.
