Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking skilled Multi Traders to join our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team. You will carry out a wide range of repairs across our homes, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering and tiling, managing your workload to meet targets and ensuring first-time fixes where possible.

You’ll be part of a field-based role with a 24-hour emergency call-out rota, contributing to safe, comfortable and well-maintained homes for residents.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in Direct Labour or similar repairs environment
• Experience delivering repairs across multiple trades
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations
• Ability to diagnose faults and provide a first-time fix where possible
• Excellent communication with residents, including vulnerable customers
• Flexible, proactive approach and team spirit
• Full UK driving licence with up to six points and two+ years driving experience
• Candidates will undergo a basic DBS check

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of repairs across homes (multi-trade tasks)
• Manage own workload and deliver work right first time
• Support residents and keep them informed throughout the repair process
• Work as part of Direct Services Reactive Repairs team to meet service targets
• Participate in a 24-hour emergency call-out rota
