Job summary

Midland Mencap is seeking an Emergency Response Support Worker for the Carers Emergency Response Service at our Birmingham office. The role involves responding to emergencies, providing immediate support, and updatingCare & Support Plans on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required.
• Full, clean driving licence essential.
• Willingness to undertake training and follow policy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency call outs on a pre-arranged rota.
• Provide emergency care and support as per Care & Support Plan and risk assessments.
• Maintain contact with On-Call Service and report concerns.
• Complete initial assessments and update care plans as needed.
• Liaise with professionals to signpost to relevant services.
• Attend staff meetings and training; uphold confidentiality.
