Job summary

Retain Healthcare in Gloucestershire seeks Crisis Response Support Workers to assist adults in care crises at home. You will deliver short-term, compassionate care to keep people safe and independent, often within two hours of a referral.

Flexible shifts cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Applicants should hold a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Care experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to urgent care referrals.
• Visit people in their own homes across your area.
• Initial check of needs, safety and risks.
• Provide personal care, medication support, meals and mobility help.
• Support after illness or injury or unexpected change.
• Provide emergency support when a carer is unavailable.
• Encourage independence and avoid taking over tasks.
• Complete accurate electronic care records.
• Work with coordinators and health professionals.
