Job summary

Somerset Care Group is seeking an Out of Hours Call Advisor based at our Taunton community office. You will provide on-call support for staff and clients, coordinating responses with health partners and ensuring continuity of care outside normal hours.

No prior experience required, full training provided. Eligibility to work in the UK is necessary, and weekend availability is required. This role offers part-time or full-time opportunities with enhanced weekend pay.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.
• Available to work alternate weekends.
• Previous background in care or customer service preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and complete calls to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Respond effectively using Somerset Care policies to urgent situations and coordinate with nurses, GP and partner agencies.
• Support planning staff by suggesting improvements to rotas to increase effectiveness.
• Establish communication channels with community staff and attend team meetings during office hours.
• Ensure changes to allocation of work are programmed in a timely fashion and prioritise time-critical calls.
• Maintain records in Home Care Roster (HCR) and report any incidents in required systems.
