Job summary

Insite Finance, a successful independent firm in the Cardiff region, is looking for an OMB Manager to take ownership of a varied owner-managed business portfolio and build genuinely advisory relationships with clients, not just deliver compliance.

You will work closely with Directors and Partners on entrepreneurial start-ups and growing owner-managed businesses, gaining real exposure to strategic decisions and a clear path toward Associate Director as you contribute to growth.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a desire to move beyond pure compliance.
• Strong advisory mindset and client-focused approach.
• Experience leading client relationships and reviewing junior work.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of OMB clients as day-to-day trusted adviser.
• Involvement in advisory work beyond accounts and compliance.
• Build strong client relationships through regular contact.
• Spot opportunities for additional work and relay to the team.
• Review work by juniors and support their development.

The firm is one of the strongest performers in its region, highly profitable and investing heavily in its people. This role sits at the heart of that growth, working closely with Directors and Partners on a portfolio of entrepreneurial start-ups and growing owner-managed businesses.

Where you'll add value

• Managing a portfolio of OMB clients, acting as their day-to-day trusted adviser
• Getting involved in the advisory side, not just accounts and compliance, helping clients with the questions that actually keep them up at night
• Building strong personal relationships through regular client contact
• Spotting opportunities for additional work and flagging them to the wider team
• Reviewing work prepared by juniors and supporting their development
• Working closely with Directors and Partners on more complex assignments, with real exposure to how those decisions get made
